Great food, great views, and great service. Make sure you make a reservation ahead of time if you want a table inside. The mushroom risotto was my favorite.

Lovely mountain hut with a snackbar for hot dogs and beers. Highly recommend stopping here for lunch.

We were lucky enough to make a reservation for a lunchtime table at L'Alpage...what an absolute gem! Classical mountain cuisine, the whole menu was absolutely scrumptious and very reasonably priced, especially considering the beautiful setting and views. We shared 2 main courses between 3 girls... easily enough food for all of us, and, of course, the puddings looked delicious but we were stuffed. The inside of the restaurant seemed charming but not cramped, but we were lucky enough to sit outside and take in the mountain views. The staff were all friendly, cheerful and delightful (something which is definitely a sad rarity in Chamonix). Really recommend, but make sure you call at 0830 on the morning to make your reservation! Tartiflette 10/10

Highlight of our trip and if you appreciate having good food as much as good skiing this is a must. Make sure you book!

Unexpectedly amazing lunch! Col de Balme didn't have much to offer sustenance wise so we wandered down the hill towards this place and it was amazing! I still don't really even know what we ordered but loved both dishes. If you want a real meal with a view - this is your spot!!

Perfect location, absolutely delicious food, generous portions, everything made fresh from scratch every day. Very nice, helpful and friendly staff. The dessert and coffee are alone worth the walk there. (Try the Cafe Gourmand, with small tastes of their desserts.) This is a hidden gem in the mountains above Le Tour. Go! Now!
